If I had no knowledge of the seasons and landed here in the dead of winter, my perspective would be limited to that of a cold and colorless world.
As one who has experienced the return of color and new life ushered in reliably each spring, I know instinctively that winter is only for a time. My faith that spring will eventually come is unwavering.
My faith in God should be as resolute.
Even in the cold, dark seasons of life, I must choose to trust Him with that same steadfast faith. I must believe that — just as certainly as spring will return — His promises are secure.
“So let us know, let us press on to know the LORD.
His going forth is as certain as the dawn;
And He will come to us like the rain,
Like the spring rain watering the earth.”
